Allergy Friendly Easter Fun!

Hello again! Here are a few little ideas for Easter fun. Hope you enjoy trying some of these out with your Mummies and Daddies.

You will need:-

  • 1 Large bar of allergy friendly chocolate. (Moo Free, Plamil, Holland & Barrett, and many vegan websites sell dairy free chocolate. We like Moo Free!) OR you can use some of the vegan truffle recipe that I posted recently.
  • A Microwaveable Bowl
  • Mini Easter Egg Moulds (We got ours in Poundland)
  • Kitchen Foil
  • Coloured Tissue Paper
  • Easter Stickers
Here is what you need to do to make your allergy friendly mini Easter eggs.

  1. First, get some mini Easter egg moulds and a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Next, put your chocolate in the bowl and microwave it for about 15-20 seconds at a time, stirring well in between each go. Be careful! The bowl will probably get quite hot, so you will need your Mummy or Daddy to help you.
  3. After the chocolate has all melted, spoon the chocolate into the moulds and put in the fridge to set. (If you used the truffle recipe, spoon that mixture in instead, and then put into the fridge.)
  4. If you have any left over melted chocolate, you could turn them into nests, by adding some cereal that is suitable for your allergy needs, and spooning them into Easter cake cases. Rice Crispies and Cornflake style cereal will work best.
  5. Once the eggs have set, you can wrap them in kitchen foil, followed by a layer of coloured tissue paper.
  6. If you want to, you can seal the eggs with some  Easter stickers to hold the tissue paper together! They are now ready for your Easter egg hunt!
  7. Finally enjoy sharing your Easter treats with your family and friends!
Also, you can have more Easter fun using my shortbread recipe to make shortbread bunnies!  http://allergyprincesses.goblinshark.co.uk/2016/10/allergy-friendly-halloween-shortbread.html

Bye, and have a lovely Easter!

Allergy Friendly Vegan Chocolate Truffles - Perfect For Easter, Birthdays and Treat Days!

Hi there! Sorry I have been ultra busy creating lots of different recipes, and haven't had a chance to blog much. That's OK though, because I am writing several of my new recipes up over the next few days, ready for Easter! Here is a nice recipe that you can try for Easter. It is super easy too! We have been making different types of these since Christmas, and I feel that they are just lovely to share.

Here are the ingredients.

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp flavoured syrup (we used a hazelnut flavoured syrup which doesn't actually have hazelnut in it, but you could also use any flavour that you like best, such as vanilla, almond, orange or caramel).
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp icing sugar
  1. First, melt the coconut oil  in the microwave. 20 to 30 seconds should be all it needs, depending on how strong your microwave is.
  2. Next, mix all of the other ingredients with the melted coconut oil.
  3. After that, roll the mixture into little balls, and put in the fridge for about 10 minutes. For Easter, you could line an egg-shaped pan with greaseproof paper, and make them into Easter egg shapes.
  4. As an optional extra, you can dip them in melted chocolate and then put them back in the fridge until they are hard. We usually eat them as they are though, and they are delicious and chocolatey!
  5. Finally, you can wrap them up as a gift and enjoy!
I hope you like them! They are the perfect Easter treat for people who have allergies, and really quick to make!

Love from Princess E! xxx
