Bonfire Night Baked Apples - Allergy Friendly Ideas

Hello again! Today I decided that a good thing to make on Bonfire Night are some of my Baked Apples.

Here are the ingredients:

  • Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Demerara sugar
  • Dairy free butter - we used Dairy Free Vitalite.
  • Raisins and Sultanas
  1. Wash as many apples as you need for your family or friends to eat.
  2. Next, using an apple corer,  you must take the middle of the apples out.
  3. Take a bowl and fill it with cinnamon, demerara sugar, dairy free butter, raisins  and sultanas. The ratio we used was a spoonful of sugar for every spoonful of dairy free butter. The cinnamon, raisins and sultanas can be added to suit your taste, but do add plenty as they taste so nice.
  4. Now mix it and put it in the apples - squeeze in as much of the mixture as you can.
  5. Wrap each apple in foil, to keep it moist and to let the flavours mix together.
  6. Finally bake the apples for about 20-25 minutes at 170 degrees, in a fan oven. Let them cool and enjoy. It is very important that you get Mummy or Daddy to take them out of the oven as the sugar gets very, very hot! It could burn you if you aren't careful!
You could try other ideas, like we did for Princess M. In her apple we mashed up some pear, a little sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. She is not allowed dairy free butter, which is why her baked apple needed to be a little different. She enjoyed it very much!

I hope that you enjoy the baked apples as much as we have.

Bye! Thanks very much for looking at my Bonfire night post. I have another recipe to share before Bonfire night too, so look out for that soon!

Love from Princess E xxx
